Revelation 4 reorders the reader by taking the eyes of the church off earthly pressure and fixing them on the throne of God.

Apri commento del capitolo

Revelation 4 is one of the most important perspective-correcting chapters in the Bible. Before the reader is allowed to walk through judgments, beasts, and conflict, he is taken into the throne room. In Revelation 4:2-3, the first dominant fact is not crisis on earth but a throne in heaven, occupied. That alone rebukes panic-driven readings of history. Then Revelation 4:8-11 fills the scene with worship. Holiness, worth, and divine creative authority dominate the chapter. This is why Revelation 4 matters: it teaches the church that endurance begins with sight, and right sight leads to worship. The chapter asks whether your interpretation of events begins with earthly pressure or with the throne of God.

How the chapter unfolds

The chapter moves into the throne room, where heavenly worship gives the true center from which all later judgments are to be understood.

Why this chapter matters

It matters because faithful endurance begins with worshipful vision, not with interpretive control.

Interpretive tension to watch

The chapter is not a decorative interlude. It is the corrective to every earthbound reading of power and history.

5 A z toho trůnu pocházelo blýskání, a hromobití, a hlasové. A sedm lamp ohnivých hořících před trůnem, jenž jsou sedm Duchů Božích. 6 A před trůnem bylo moře sklené, podobné křišťálu, a uprostřed trůnu a vůkol trůnu čtvero zvířat, plných očí zpředu i zzadu. 7 A zvíře první podobné bylo lvu, a druhé zvíře podobné teleti, a třetí zvíře mající tvárnost jako člověk, a čtvrté zvíře podobné orlu letícímu. 8 A jedno každé z těch čtyř zvířat mělo šest křídel okolo, a vnitř plná byla očí, a neměla odpočinutí dnem i nocí, říkajíce: Svatý, svatý, svatý Pán Bůh všemohoucí, kterýž byl, a jest, i přijíti má. 9 A když ta zvířata vzdávala slávu a čest i díků činění sedícímu na trůnu, živému na věky věků, 10 Padlo těch čtyřmecítma starců před obličejem sedícího na trůnu, a klanělo se živému na věky věků, a metali koruny své před trůnem, řkouce: 11 Hoden jsi, Pane, přijíti slávu, a čest, i moc; nebo ty jsi stvořil všecky věci, a pro vůli tvou trvají, i stvořeny jsou.
