21 ఇశ్రాయేలు ప్రజను విడుదల చేసేవాడు ఈయనే అని మేము ఆశించాం. ఈ విషయాలన్నీ మూడు రోజుల క్రితం జరిగాయి. 22 అయితే మాలో కొందరు స్త్రీలు తెల్లవారగానే సమాధి దగ్గరికి వెళ్ళి అక్కడ ఆయన దేహం కనిపించక తిరిగి వచ్చారు. 23 కొందరు దేవదూతలు తమకు కనబడి, ‘ఆయన బతికే ఉన్నాడు’ అని చెప్పారు అని మాకు తెలిపినప్పుడు మాకు చాలా ఆశ్చర్యం వేసింది. 24 మా వాళ్ళు కొంతమంది సమాధి దగ్గరికి వెళ్ళి ఆ స్త్రీలు చెప్పినట్టే ఖాళీ సమాధిని చూశారు గానీ ఆయనను చూడలేదు” అని ఆయనకు చెప్పారు. 25 అందుకాయన, “అవివేకులారా, ప్రవక్తలు చెప్పిన మాటలనన్నిటినీ నమ్మని మందమతులారా, 26 క్రీస్తు ఈ విధంగా హింసలు అనుభవించి తన మహిమలో ప్రవేశించడం తప్పనిసరి కాదా?” అని వారితో అన్నాడు. 27 ఇంకా మోషే నుండి ప్రవక్తలందరి వరకూ లేఖనాలన్నిటిలో తనను గురించి రాసిన మాటల అర్థాన్ని వారికి తెలియజేశాడు. 28 ఇంతలో వారి గ్రామం వచ్చింది. ఆయన ఇంకా ముందుకు ప్రయాణం చేస్తున్నట్టు కనిపించింది. 29 దాంతో వారు, “పొద్దు వాలుతున్నది. చీకటి పడుతుంది. ఈ రాత్రికి ఇక్కడే ఉండు” అంటూ ఆయనను బలవంతం చేశారు. కాబట్టి ఆయన వారితో కూడా ఇంట్లోకి వెళ్ళాడు. 30 ఆయన వారితో భోజనానికి కూర్చున్నప్పుడు, ఒక రొట్టెను పట్టుకుని దానికోసం కృతజ్ఞతలు చెప్పి, విరిచి తినడానికి వారికిచ్చాడు. 31 అప్పుడు వారి కళ్ళు తెరుచుకున్నాయి. వారు ఆయనను గుర్తు పట్టారు. అయితే ఆయన వారికి కనబడకుండా మాయమయ్యాడు. 32 అప్పుడు వారు, “దారిలో ఆయన మనతో మాట్లాడుతూ లేఖనాలను మనకు అర్థం అయ్యేలా చెబుతున్నప్పుడు మన హృదయాలు దహించుకు పోతున్నట్టు అనిపించ లేదూ” అని చెప్పుకున్నారు. 33 అప్పుడే వారు లేచి తిరిగి యెరూషలేము వెళ్ళారు. అక్కడ పదకొండు మంది శిష్యులూ, వారితో ఉన్నవారూ కలుసుకుని 34 “ప్రభువు నిజంగా లేచి సీమోనుకు కనిపించాడు” అని చెప్పుకుంటున్నారు. వారది విని 35 దారిలో జరిగిన సంగతులూ, ఆయన రొట్టె విరిచిన వెంటనే తమకెలా ప్రత్యక్షమయ్యాడో తెలియజేశారు. 36 వారు ఇలా మాట్లాడుకుంటూ ఉండగా యేసే వారి మధ్య నిలబడి, “మీకు శాంతి కలుగు గాక” అన్నాడు. 37 అయితే వారు తమకేదో ఆత్మ కనిపించిందనుకుని భయంతో హడలిపోయారు. 38 అప్పుడాయన, “మీరు ఎందుకు భయపడుతున్నారు? మీ హృదయాల్లో ఎందుకు సందేహపడుతున్నారు? 39 నేనే ఆయనను అనడానికి రుజువుగా నా చేతులూ, నా పాదాలూ చూడండి. నన్ను ముట్టుకుని చూడండి. నాకు ఉన్నట్టుగా ఆత్మకు ఎముకలూ మాంసమూ ఉండవు” అని చెప్పాడు. 40 అలా చెప్పి తన చేతులనూ, కాళ్ళనూ వారికి చూపించాడు. 41 అయితే వారు సంతోషంతో తబ్బిబ్బులై పోతూ ఇంకా నమ్మకుండా ఆశ్చర్యపోతూ ఉన్నారు. అప్పుడు ఆయన, “మీ దగ్గర ఏదైనా ఆహారం ఉందా?” అని అడిగాడు. 42 వారు కాల్చిన చేప ముక్కను ఆయనకు ఇచ్చారు. 43 ఆయన దాన్ని తీసుకుని వారి కళ్ళ ముందే తిన్నాడు. 44 తరువాత ఆయన, “మోషే ధర్మశాస్త్రంలోనూ, ప్రవక్తల గ్రంథాల్లోనూ, కీర్తనల్లోనూ నా గురించి రాసినవన్నీ నెరవేరాలని నేను మీతో ఉన్నప్పుడు చెప్పాను గదా” అన్నాడు. 45 అప్పుడు లేఖనాలను గ్రహించగలిగేలా ఆయన వారి మనసులను తెరిచాడు. 46 “క్రీస్తు హింసల పాలై చనిపోయి మూడవ రోజున చనిపోయిన వారిలో నుండి లేస్తాడనీ, 47 యెరూషలేములో ప్రారంభమై సమస్త జాతులకూ ఆయన పేర పశ్చాత్తాపం, పాప క్షమాపణ ప్రకటన జరుగుతుందనీ రాసి ఉంది. 48 మీరు ఈ విషయాలన్నిటికీ సాక్షులు. 49 “వినండి, నా తండ్రి చేసిన వాగ్దానాన్ని మీ మీదికి పంపుతున్నాను. మీరు పైనుండి శక్తి పొందే వరకూ పట్టణంలోనే ఉండండి” అని వారికి చెప్పాడు. 50 ఆయన బేతనియ వరకూ వారిని తీసుకు పోయి చేతులెత్తి వారిని ఆశీర్వదించాడు. 51 అలా వారిని ఆశీర్వదిస్తూ ఉండగానే ఆయన వారిలో నుండి వేరై పరలోకానికి ఆరోహణం అయ్యాడు. 52 వారు ఆయనను ఆరాధించి గొప్ప ఆనందంతో యెరూషలేముకు తిరిగి వెళ్ళారు. 53 దేవాలయంలో నిరంతరం ఉంటూ దేవుణ్ణి కీర్తిస్తూ, ఆరాధిస్తూ ఉన్నారు.
