1 আরোহণ গীত। শলোমনের। যদি সদাপ্রভুু গৃহ তৈরী না করেন, তারা বৃথাই কাজ করে, যারা তা তৈরী করে। যদি সদাপ্রভুু শহর পাহারা না দেন, পাহারাদার বৃথাই দাঁড়িয়ে থাকে। 2 এটা বৃথা যদি তোমরা ভোরে উঠ, দেরীতে বাড়ি আস অথবা পরিশ্রমের খাবার খাও কারণ সদাপ্রভু তাঁর প্রিয়পাত্রকে ঘুমের মধ্যে এইরকম দেন। 3 দেখ শিশুরা সদাপ্রভুুর থেকে পাওয়া অধিকার, গর্ভেরফল তাঁর থেকে পাওয়া পুরষ্কার। 4 যেমন সৈনিকের হাতে বান, সেরকম যৌবনের সন্তানরা। 5 ধন্য সেই মানুষ, যার তূন এরকম বানে পূর্ণ; তারা লজ্জিত হবে না, যখন তারা দরজায় শত্রুদের সঙ্গে মুখোমুখি হয়।
