1 और जब सुलेमान दुआ कर चुका तो आसमान पर से आग़ उतरी और सोख़्तनी क़ुर्बानी और ज़बीहो को भस्म कर दिया और मस्कन ख़ुदावन्द के जलाल से मा'मूर हो गया। 2 और काहिन ख़ुदावन्द के घर में दाख़िल न हों सके इसलिए कि ख़ुदावन्द का घर ख़ुदावन्द के जलाल से मा'मूर था। 3 और जब आग नाज़िल हुई और ख़ुदावन्द का जलाल उस घर पर छा गया तो सब बनी इस्राईल देख रहे थे, तब उन्होंने वही फ़र्श पर मुँह के बल ज़मीन तक झुक कर सिज्दा किया और ख़ुदावन्द का शुक्र अदा किया कि वह भला है क्यूँकि उसकी रहमत हमेशा है। 4 तब बादशाह और सब लोगो ने ख़ुदावन्द के आगे ज़बीहे ज़बह किए। 5 और सुलेमान बादशाह ने ज़रिए' हज़ार बैलों और एक लाख बीस हज़ार भेड़ बकरियों की क़ुर्बानी पेश कीं, यूँ बादशाह और सब लोगों ने ख़ुदा के घर को मख़्सूस किया। 6 और काहिन अपने अपने मन्सब के मुताबिक़ खड़े थे और लावी भी ख़ुदावन्द के लिए मुसीक़ी के साज़ लिए हुए थे जिनको दाऊद बादशाह ने ख़ुदावन्द का शुक्र बजा लेन को बनाया था जब उसने उनके ज़रिए' से उसकी ता'रीफ़ की थी क्यूँकि उसकी रहमत हमेशा है और काहिन उनके आगे नरसिंगे फूंकते रहे और सब इस्राईली खड़े रहे हैं। 7 और सुलेमान ने उस सहन के बीच के हिस्से को जो ख़ुदावन्द के घर के सामने था पाक किया क्यूँकि उसने वहाँ सोख़्तनी क़ुर्बानियों और सलामती की क़ुर्बानियों की चर्बी पेश कीं क्यूँकि पीतल के उस मज़बह पर जैसे सुलेमान ने बनाया था सोख़्तनी क़ुर्बानी और नज़्र की क़ुर्बानी और चर्बी के लिए गुंजाइश न थीं। 8 और सुलेमान और उसके साथ हमात के मदख़ल से मिस्र तक के सब इस्राईलियों की बहुत बड़ी जमा'अत ने उस मौक़ा पर सात दिन तक 'ईद मनाई। 9 और आठवे दिन उनका पाक मजमा' जमा' हुआ क्यूँकि वह सात दिन मज़बह के मख़्सूस करने में और सात दिन ईद मानाने में लगे रहे। 10 और सातवे महीने की तेइसवी तारीख़ को उसने लोगों को रुख़्शत किया, ताकि वह उस नेकी की वजह से जो ख़ुदावन्द ने दाऊद और सुलेमान और अपनी क़ौम इस्राईल से की थी ख़ुश और शादमान होकर अपने ख़ेमों को जाएँ। 11 यूँ सुलेमान ने ख़ुदावन्द का घर और बादशाह का घर तमाम किया और जो कुछ सुलेमान ने ख़ुदावन्द के घर में और अपने घर में बनाना चाहा उस ने उसे बख़ूबी अंजाम तक पहुँचाया। 12 और ख़ुदावन्द रात को सुलेमान पर ज़ाहिर हुआ और उससे कहा, कि मैंने तेरी दुआ सुनी और इस जगह को अपने वास्ते चुन लिया कि यह क़ुर्बानी का घर हो। 13 अगर मै आसमान को बंद कर दूँ कि बारिश न हो या टिड्डियों को हुक्म दूँ कि मुल्क को उजाड़ डालें या अपने लोगों के बीच वबा भेजूँ। 14 तब अगर मेरे लोग जो मरे नाम से कहलाते हैं खाकसार बनकर दुआ करें और मेरे दीदार के तालिब हों और अपनी बुरी रास्तों से फिरें तो मैं आसमान पर से सुनकर उनका गुनाह मु'आफ़ करूँगा और उनके मुल्क को बहाल कर दूँगा। 15 अब जो दुआ इस जगह की जाएगी उस पर मेरी आँखें खुली और मेरे कान लगे रहेंगें। 16 क्यूँकि मैंने इस घर को चुना और पाक किया कि मेरा नाम यहाँ हमेशा रहे और मेरी आँखें और मेरा दिल बराबर यहीं लगे रहेंगें। 17 और तू अगर मेरे सामने वैसे ही चले जैसे तेरा बाप दाऊद चलता रहा और जो कुछ मैंने तुझे हुक्म किया उसके मुताबिक़ अम्ल करे और मेरे क़ानून और हुक्मों को माने। 18 तो मैं तेरे तख़्त — ए — हुकूमत को क़ाईम रखूँगा जैसा मैंने तेरे बाप दाऊद से 'अहद कर के कहा था कि इस्राईल का सरदार होने के लिए तेरे हाथ मर्द की कभी कमी न होगी। 19 लेकिन अगर तुम बरगश्ता हो जाओ और मेरे क़ानून — व — हुक्मों को जिनको मैंने तुम्हारे आगे रख्खा है छोड़ कर दो, और जाकर ग़ैर मा'बूदों की इबादत करो और उनको सिज्दा करों, 20 तो मैं उनको अपने मुल्क से जो मैंने उनको दिया है जड़ से उखाड़ डालूँगा और इस घर को मैंने अपने नाम के लिए पाक किया है अपने सामने से दूर कर दूँगा और इसको सब क़ोमों में ज़र्ब — उल — मसल और बदनाम कर दूँगा। 21 और यह घर जो ऐसा आलीशान है, इसलिए हर एक जो इसके पास से गुज़रेगा हैरान होकर कहेगा कि ख़ुदावन्द ने इस मुल्क और इस घर के साथ ऐसा क्यों किया? 22 तब वह जवाब देंगें इसलिए कि उन्होंने ख़ुदावन्द अपने बाप दादा के ख़ुदा को जो उनको मुल्के मिस्र से निकाल लाया था छोड़ दिया और ग़ैर मा'बूदों को इख़्तियार कर के उनको सिज्दा किया और उनकी इबादत की इसीलिए ख़ुदावन्द ने उन पर यह सारी मुसीबत नाज़िल की।
