Revelation 4 is one of the most important perspective-correcting chapters in the Bible. Before the reader is allowed to walk through judgments, beasts, and conflict, he is taken into the throne room. In Revelation 4:2-3, the first dominant fact is not crisis on earth but a throne in heaven, occupied. That alone rebukes panic-driven readings of history. Then Revelation 4:8-11 fills the scene with worship. Holiness, worth, and divine creative authority dominate the chapter. This is why Revelation 4 matters: it teaches the church that endurance begins with sight, and right sight leads to worship. The chapter asks whether your interpretation of events begins with earthly pressure or with the throne of God.

1 ויהי אחר הדברים האלה וארא והנה פתח נפתח בשמים והקול הראשון אשר שמעתיו כקול שופר מדבר אלי אמר עלה הנה ואראך את אשר היה יהיה אחרי כן׃ 2 וכרגע הייתי ברוח והנה כסא נראה בשמים ואחד ישב על הכסא׃ 3 והישב מראהו כמראה אבן ישפה ואדם וקשת סביב לכסא ומראיה כעין ברקת׃ 4 וסביב לכסא ארבעה ועשרים כסאות ועל הכסאות ראיתי את ארבעה ועשרים הזקנים ישבים והם לבשי בגדים לבנים ועטרות זהב בראשיהם׃ 5 ומן הכסא יוצאים ברקים ורעמים וקולות ושבעה לפידי אש בערים לפני הכסא אשר הם שבעה רוחות האלהים׃ 6 ולפני הכסא ים זכוכית כעין הקרח ובין הכסא וסביב לכסא ארבע חיות מלאות עינים מלפניהם ומאחריהם׃ 7 ודמות החיה הראשונה כאריה והחיה השנית כשור ופני החיה השלישית כפני אדם ודמות החיה הרביעית כנשר מעופף׃ 8 ולכל אחת מארבע החיות שש כנפים מסביב ולפנימה הנה מלאות עינים ואין דמי להן יומם ולילה ואמרות קדוש קדוש קדוש יהוה אלהים צבאות היה והוה ויבוא׃ 9 ומדי תת החיות כבוד והדר ותודה לישב על הכסא אשר הוא חי לעולמי עולמים׃ 10 אז יפלו עשרים וארבעה הזקנים על פניהם לפני הישב על הכסא והשתחוו לחי עולמי העולמים ושמו את עטרותיהם לפני הכסא לאמר׃ 11 לך נאה אדנינו לקחת כבוד והדר ועז כי אתה בראת הכל והכל ברצונך היו ונבראו׃
