TEACHING MOMENT: When God chose David, He passed over every impressive candidate and picked the runt of the family. Why? "The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the HEART." (1 Samuel 16:7) God is not impressed by your resume, your platform, or your followers. He is looking at your HEART. Is it available? Is it surrendered? That is all He needs.
